All kingdoms have citizens and all citizens have power. When you become a citizen the power of your government follows you. So citizenship is really about power. Your Citizenship equals your status and your power equals your authority and rights. So the knowledge of your status is the key to your power. Citizens get their power by obeying their governments laws. Your kingdom citizenship is the constitutional rights and privileges bestowed upon a citizen of Heaven, which is protected by the laws of the home country. Citizens own nothing. The king owns everything in a kingdom.
All nations require a birth or some kind of process for citizenship in their country. It is also the same to gain citizenship in the Kingdom. The scriptures say a person must be born again! (John 3:7) It does not say SHOULD be born again but MUST be born again. Being born again is a requirement and the first step to accessing your citizenship.
Unless a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God - John 3:3.
Like any citizenship you always automatically become a citizen at birth. This is the same in the Kingdom when you get born again.
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit - John 3:6.
Conception and birth in the Kingdom is a secret, invisible process to the physical eye. Your heavenly citizenship is not a visual reality but a disposition.
The wind blows as it wishes and you hear the sound of it but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit - John 3:8-9.
There’s rewards and benefits in the lifestyle of being a Kingdom Citizen. Your legal rights are the privileges, protections and benefits guaranteed to those who hold citizenship in Heaven.
